A survey is being conducted to collect relevant data and information on trade facilitation and paperless trade implementation in countries in Asia and the Pacific. Outcomes of the survey will enable the countries to better understand and monitor progress in trade facilitation, support evidence-based policy-making, highlight the needs for capacity building and technical assistance; and provide solutions for further advancing trade facilitation.
Survey questionnaires were completed by participants to the APTFF 2012 involved in trade facilitation in their own countries, as well as other selected experts. Following consistency checks and collection of additional and complementary data by ESCAP after the Forum, a dataset of trade facilitation implementation in 26 Asian countries was finalized for the year 2012. While every effort was made to ensure the reliability of the data, its accuracy cannot be fully guaranteed, in particular as some of the survey questions involve subjective elements and perceptions of different respondents. The data should not be considered as reflecting the views or carrying the approval of ESCAP, the ADB, or the United Nations.
This survey is an on-going and continuous effort, as we strive to collect the most up-to-date and accurate information on trade facilitation implementation in the Asia-Pacific region. Should you like to share your own expertise, please fill the survey questionnaire available on this page.
