1. The importer (through a customs house agent) collects all necessary approvals and obtains permission to move the goods from the vessel to the yard.
2. The importer declares the products to the customs office at Jawaharlal Nehru Port customs station by submitting the required documents.
3. The customs officers verify the application and provide approval, after physically inspecting the goods.
4. The importer then transports the goods to the importers’ warehouse.
